Job responsibilities include regular household care (cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping – with a friend helping with cleaning once a week and a granddaughter assisting with shopping). Friendly supervision of regular food, fluid intake, and medication administration is important. Assistance with showering (once a week), providing companionship, engaging in conversations, or doing puzzles together is also required. Lifting the patient or night work is not necessary. A bicycle is available for the caregiver (shops are approximately 900 m away), and Essen auf Rädern is provided.

Accommodation is provided in a family house where the senior lives alone. She is very kind, friendly, and able to communicate, although she has significantly impaired short-term memory and often repeats the same questions.

Complete assistance is needed with dressing, hygiene, toilet use, and incontinence care. Food needs to be cut into small pieces, and she may need to be fed as necessary. Adequate fluid intake must be ensured. Compression stockings are provided by the caregiving service. Medications are prepared by the service once a week.

The senior welcomes company, conversations, singing, wheelchair walks, and help with errands and everyday activities. Her son also lives in the household, frequently travels, and handles shopping, doctor visits, and garden care. Household tasks are divided by agreement with the son.

Night care is not regular but may be needed approximately 1× per night on rare occasions.

Physically, he is reasonably fit for his age, but he finds heat uncomfortable and is experiencing mild depression following the recent loss of his wife. He is independent in dressing, personal hygiene, and using the toilet, requiring no assistance in these activities.

Job responsibilities include household support such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, and arranging medical appointments. The client still drives himself. Companionship is welcome, including possible social games. The caregiver has access to a private small apartment and internet, which is available in the home. The client lives alone in a small apartment with a garden and has no pets. Nighttime assistance is not required for getting up or going to the toilet.

Caregiving for an 88-year-old lady (170 cm, 70 kg) who is physically fit for her age but is gradually showing signs of dementia. She suffers from Alzheimer's and age-related weakness, yet she is fully mobile, although her walking ability has slightly deteriorated. The lady lives in an apartment within a family house, where her son operates a business on the ground floor, so there is always someone nearby if questions or assistance are needed. From a health perspective, she does not pose any nighttime concerns, sleeps through the night, and does not require lifting. The lady can dress herself, use the toilet, and maintain personal hygiene independently, but she enjoys company and wishes to have someone with her in the evening and at night to avoid feeling lonely. The caregiver will be responsible for meal preparation, shopping, cleaning the household, and laundry, although the family can assist with shopping. The caregiver will have a separate room with internet access. It is important that the caregiver is a non-smoker and has a good knowledge of German. A driver's license is not required.

Caregiving for an Elderly Couple (90 and 86 years) involves two very kind and positively-minded seniors living in a family house with a large garden. The lady (64 kg, 158 cm) suffers from heart failure and atrial fibrillation and is dependent on a wheelchair. The gentleman (75 kg, 178 cm) is physically independent but is beginning to show signs of dementia. Both seniors are continent, and night work is not required (exceptionally, assistance with the toilet chair for the lady may be needed, at most once a month). We are looking for an empathetic caregiver, ideally over 45 years old, with a good knowledge of German and a love for animals, as a cat and a dog are part of the household.

Job responsibilities include complete assistance for the lady with hygiene, dressing, and transferring from bed (no heavy lifting required, as a stair lift is available). For the gentleman, supervision and guidance with hygiene, tooth brushing, and foot cream application are sufficient. Important tasks include administering medication at precisely scheduled times, preparing breakfast and a warm dinner (the daughter often pre-cooks and shops), household care, laundry, and feeding the animals. A significant part of the day involves motivating and socially engaging both seniors.

Accommodation is provided in a very nice room with a box spring bed, direct access to the terrace, a private bathroom, and internet access. The daughter lives just two streets away and is willing to help if needed. Free time and breaks are flexible according to mutual agreement.
